wow, the man is fully equipped with signs and stationary 😮 What horrors lurk behind this bush?
I think he has a worm Hole
many mysteries are contained in the bush.
Gabe is adept at making use of opportunity.
I think this is one of the most surreal ideas I’ve ever seen for a comic and I love it! It reminds me of Snoopy’s doghouse in a way (if that makes any sense). I hope you keep it up. I really like your art on this one and your previous entry. It seems to be more spontaneous (I’m saying that’s a good thing). You’re hitting a good stride.
Thanks Stephen I’m flattered by the comparison to Snoopy’s doghouse. I think location is an important factor in giving readers a sense of familiarity when reading your strip from day to day. When you are talking about only having the attention of a reader for probably no more than 1 minute you have to suck them into your world pretty quickly and training your readers to have a sense of comfort in your world so you can sucker punch them with a joke is what it is all about for me.
Will we find out one day that the bush is poison ivy? Will the bush change with the seasons? The leaves could fall off the bush during autumn… Acquisition of a Christmas tree bush for the holidays…
I love the look that guy in a bush gives the other guy!
You don’t really know someone until you have free kittens to give away. And yes I’m looking forward to the holiday strips.
If he becomes “Guy in a Wreath” for Christmas, I see much conflict in the future since he doesn’t wear pants.
